re: Announcements for the week of June 6-14, 2009

Stephen Ministry Thought of the Week— “Love One Another As I Have Loved You . . .” In John 15:12 Jesus says, “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” Loving and caring for one another is not just the pastor’s job—it’s something Jesus calls us all to do! Stephen Ministry is a ministry in which people with special gifts for caring ministry can put those gifts to use in an organized way, bringing Jesus’ love and care to those who most need it. If you—or someone you know—are going through a difficult time,  contact one of our Pastors at the church office about Stephen Ministry.  Our Stephen Ministers are ready to care for you.

The younger class (3 to 4 year-olds) explores centers, circle time, playground, music, shapes, colors, numbers and are introduced to the alphabet.  The daily class size is 15 children. The older “Pre-K” class (4 to 5 year-olds) prepares for kindergarten by mastering the alphabet, writing letters and names, story time and pre-reading skills.  Computer time, large and small motor skills, introduction to science, math and music, and developing listening skills are also emphasized in our older class.  Our class sizes are limited to 15 children each. We were 97% full during our third year.  We expect to be full with a waiting list for next Fall.  If you are considering registering for our program, please don't wait too long.  Registration forms are available by the Preschool Office at the East entrance.  There is a $75 non-refundable fee due at registration. Questions can be directed to Lisa Alvernaz, Preschool Director.
